Well, despite torrential rain and some dubious Google Maps directions to the venue, my first ever book launch was a success! We didn’t run out of food or drink, and I sold around 40 copies of “A Life Singular – Part One”.
My computer froze and the videographer didn’t turn up, but otherwise all went according to plan. Strangely, after having been nervous for the previous 48 hours, all nerves miraculously vanished as soon as I began to talk.
Craig Stewart from the School Volunteer Program and Huia McGlinchey from The Smith Family helped share the limelight, and hopefully some sales proceeds will start trickling into both organisations’ coffers soon!
